Play Area

The Community Association is  extremely pleased with the recent  improvements made to the Play Area earlier this year (2024).  

The additions to the Play Area provides a range of equipment  for all age groups including  another crows nest swing, see-saw and spinner.

                    All expenditure for the project was met by  Durham County Council through the Section 106 funding scheme.  This enables Parish and Town Council to apply for funding for leisure purposes for their community.

Since early 2023 over £35,000 has been sourced to make the improvements possible with no impact on the Parish Council Precept.

It's great to see so many children using the equipment and the positive feedback from parents and carers has been  very much appreciated.
