Etherley Parish is located in the heart of County Durham, on the outskirts of Teesdale and on the borders of Wear Valley.
The Parish is situated within beautiful countryside yet still benefiting from access to excellent local services.
The Parish stretches across a wide area which includes, Low Etherley, Phoenix Row, High Etherley, Toft Hill, Etherley Bank, Spring Gardens, Hummerbeck, Bildershaw, Royal Oak and some properties located within West Auckland.

Our History
Today the population of Etherley Parish stands at 2431 inhabitants with all dwellings having piped water, bathrooms and inside toilets. Not so very along ago, fifty years infact, the picture was very different with a parish population of 1835 - over 40 dwellings without piped water, 365 dwellings using outside toilets and a staggering 405 dwellings with no bathroom.
