Community Speed Watch
Thank you Cllr. Balmer
After 8 years of volunteering with our Community Speed Watch scheme Cllr. Balmer has decided to step down as co-ordinator.
Cllr. Balmer was instrumental in setting up the scheme and her commitment and hard work is much appreciated.
The work goes on to help reduce speeding traffic travelling through the Parish - get in touch if you are interested in helping.

Fantastic News - due to the hard work of our Speed Watch Volunteers Durham Constabulary has included Etherley Parish on their rota for deploying the Mobile Safety Camera unit in the Parish on a regular basis.
With our volunteer numbers falling we are in need of more help to ensure our Community Speed Watch scheme is effective and has an impact on speeding throughout Toft Hill and Etherley.
Regular Speed Watch sessions do make a difference and becoming a volunteer involves only a very short amount of your time to suit you - typically an hour per week (weather permitting).
Please get in touch if you are interested or would like futher details on how the scheme works and what is involved.
